Ed Keeter Bio


Ed Keeter is a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor who resides in Erie, Pennsylvania.

Ed holds a Master's degree in Rehabilitation Counseling and a Bachelor's degree in Advertising, both from Michigan State University.

Ed is currently a Service Coordinator with A Bridge To Independence in Erie, PA.  Previously, Ed was a Career Development Specialist with Goodwill Industries of Ashtabula, Inc., where he worked on school-to-work transition activities with students with disabilities and assisted other individuals with barriers to employment with obtaining competitive employment.  Prior to Ashtabula, Ed was a  Life Guides Employment Coordinator and Vocational Rehabilitation Specialist II at Goodwill Industries of Southwestern Michigan, where he assisted individuals with barriers to employment including poverty, literacy issues, disabilities and criminal histories with obtaining competitive employment.

Previously, Ed was  the owner of Keeter Consulting LLC, where he assisted persons with disabilities, including veterans with service-related disabilities, with developing and implementing business plans in the pursuit of self-employment.  His clientele have been as far-ranging as dress shops, breweries, and exotic reptile breeders.

Prior to Keeter Consulting, Ed worked as a Vocational Specialist and Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor with Michigan Rehabilitation Services in Lansing and Muskegon, Michigan.  These roles included testing and assessment work, counseling, coaching and providing job placement assistance.

Ed began his career at Steelcase in Grand Rapids, Michigan.  His time at Steelcase was divided between helping to develop and implement a nationally recognized disability management program and creating the company's initial human resources content for its corporate intranet, extranet and internet web sites.

In his spare time, Ed enjoys riding his motorcycle, archery, kayaking, homebrewing, disc golf, and spending time with his fiancĂ©.
